Quality

The major petroleum distributors have indicated that when it comes to the entry of biodiesel into the Canadian marketplace, quality of the final product is their primary concern. Kyoto Fuels is addressing this issue by ensuring our internal standards are of the highest quality and that our biodiesel is tested by a third party to assure unbiased representation of our product. In addition, KFC continues to play a role in the Alberta Biodiesel Association to ensure quality is met and exceeded by other participants in the emerging biodiesel industry. Also, Kyoto Fuels and JK Trucking will participate in a demonstration project with a major petroleum distributor to further ensure compliance, consistency, performance and acceptance of an environmentally friendly and sustainable fuel alternative.

Biodiesel is under quality control constraints in North America put in place by the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials). It is critical for the biodiesel industry to produce and distribute the highest quality biodiesel. The technology used by Kyoto Fuels provides a biodiesel, regardless of the feedstock utilized, that meets the highest expectations of quality, exceeding ASTM standards (6751) and the more stringent European (EN14214) biodiesel standards.
