Mr. Koliaska is the VP Business Development of Kyoto Fuels Corporation. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor’s degree in Management majoring in Finance. He proceeded to achieve his M.B.A at Syracuse University in New York. In 2005, he attained his professional designation in transportation (Certified Transportation Professional, CTP). Mr. Koliaska grew up in an agricultural atmosphere and has over 13 years in transportation, marketing, and business experience. He is the president and CEO of JK Trucking, a company started in 1999 and has positioned it as one of the leading bulk agricultural transportation companies inWestern Canada. JK Trucking is proud to focus on ethics, safety and social responsibility, making it unique within the industry. In 2003, JK Trucking was awarded the 12th fastest growing company in the province of Alberta and the 9th fastest in 2004. In 2005, JK Trucking was awarded the 2005 Alberta Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, as well as attaining it’s COR designation for proactive efforts in safety and compliance from the WCB. JK Trucking was one of the first trucking companies in Canada to be endorsed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and became a Smartway Partner in 2004.
For three years, Mr. Koliaska has been a member of the Institute Board of Governors for the National Private Truck Council (“NTPC”) based out of theUnited States. He also sits on the board of directors of the Western Hockey League (“WHL”) Lethbridge Hurricanes for the last four years.
