Mr. Prenevost is President and CEO of Kyoto Fuels Corporation, a company poised to provide biodiesel and other alternative fuels to Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. He graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSc. in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry and Microbiology. He has over twelve years experience in the Biotechnology sector working with organizations such as the University of Victoria, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the University of Alberta on projects varying from the development of genetically modified crops, cattle genotyping, plant and animal pathology and the investigation into the nature of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (“BSE”). These experiences led him to the field of bioproducts, where he now devotes his energies to producing economically viable and environmentally sustainable initiatives. Mr. Prenevost is a Director for Prairie BioGas and Power Ltd. (“PBL”), a company using a proprietary technology to produce syngas from waste materials for both heat and electrical production. He is also Vice President of the Alberta Biodiesel Association (“ABA”) that promotes the use and production of biodiesel in this province. In addition, he served on the Clean Air Strategic Alliance (“CASA”) Renewable and Alternatives Team.

 Mr. Prenevost taught Environmental Issues and Microbiology at the Lethbridge Community College for three years and was also the President of the Southern Alberta Group for the Environment (“SAGE”) from 2003-07. He sits on the Technical Advisory Committee of Light Up the World Foundation (“LUTW”), a non-profit organization based in Calgary that promotes renewable energy projects in developing communities around the globe. Mr. Prenevost has also given numerous public speaking engagements on environmental topics including biofuels and bioenergy.
